Prof Nasser

Prof Martin Nasser places an unequivocal international stamp on the Watson Institute of business Leadership.  As  Professor  Extraordinarius in the management and economic sciences at the University of Pretoria,  he is exposed to an eclectic range of the latest academic trends.  In demand for his progressive thinking, ability to drive innovation and practical and business experience,  he remains  one of the few South African academics whose consultancy services are in demand by Ivy League institutions such as Harvard University and the Wharton Institute (USA).   Prof. Nasser’s expertise and reputation in entrepreneurship places him in a global niche of his own. 


Flexible and adaptable to fast changing environments Prof. Nasser keeps abreast of entrepreneurial thinking for young emerging talent as well as management and more senior employees.  Having recognised the pioneering and solid business model envisioned by CEO Gavin Watson for the WIBL, he has joined the advisory board to share his global expertise.  


It was he,  that recognised the similarity between the WIBL and the famous Bloomberg Institute of New York founded by ex Mayor Bloomberg.    Prof. Nasser has a refreshing approach to education. Eschewing rigid archaic methodologies that failed within the South African system in the past, Nasser constantly explores the application of global business school approaches.   A trendsetter he can see the future growth and positioning of the WIBL in Sub Saharan Africa, if not beyond.  The practicalities of the curriculum design,  with a focus on relevance to the industry and Group,  remains on his agenda.
