The rigour of compliance and governance is generally considered an irritant by most business units within an organisation who have little appreciation of its relevance to company prestige, image, brand and reputation both locally and internationally. High compliance is inextricably linked to the principles of King 11 and 111 and the consistency of the Bosasa Group has played a significant role in repeat contracts and tender awards with the public sector.
The highly documented and quantitative nature of the function is noted for adding to stress levels managers and leaders during essential audits because the value of the Compliance Unit’s role has not been fully understood. WIBL training by this enthusiastic and committed facilitator has changed perceptions.
Corrie Botes who is the Manager of the Group Compliance Division and operates ubiquitously within the Group. He is at ease facilitating on his subject to potential leaders within the Bosasa Group with his detailed knowledge and understanding of all functionary roles, deliverables and Group Operations.
Compliance is considered a very important subject at the WIBL because of the above outcomes coupled to achieving buy in from unit leaders. Botes is respected for his ten years of experience in the field. His portfolio comprises Health Management System and Process Development, Internal systems Auditors, Document Controller, a Health and Safety Administrator and Compliance Administrator function. Botes completed a MAP (Management Advancement Programme) with Wits Business School covering subjects relevant to all functions within an organisation for easy application of compliance criteria. Botes who is known for big picture perspective included a Risk Management Diploma. His integrity, warmth and patience with all units has earned him national regard and acknowledgement.
