ACADEMIC CURRICULUM
> Compliance
The concept ’compliance’ describes the non negotiable standards to which corporations or public agencies aspire. These efforts ensure that personnel are aware of, and take conscious steps to comply with relevant international/national standards, contractual requirements and laws, policies and regulations.
Heightened awareness of compliance by all personnel and stakeholders is essential to our company image and branding. Therefore the following aspects are highlighted in our ‘compliance’ module:
• What does compliance mean to you in the
workplace?
• What are the functions of compliance within
Bosasa?
• Why are compliance functions essential?
• Who is responsible and accountable for
compliance in the workplace?
• What is Bosasa’s approach to compliance?
• What is a Management System or Quality
Assurance System?
• How do I implement a Management System?
• How do I manage a Management System?
• What is the benefit of achieving external
certification?
Course work and material relevant to this module will create clarity around the subject of ‘compliance’. It is crucial for leaders to come to terms with compliance methodology within the organisation and to actively pursue various methods of achieving compliance in order for the organisation to operate smoothly.
A company which is as compliance driven, as Bosasa, commands respect from local and international business communities.
