Leadership

The WIBL Leadership and Management Foundation programme focuses on advancing students in their respective fields.  Our holistic approach is geared towards equipping our students with exceptional Leadership and Management competencies.  Our philosophy is to remain as close to the realities of daily executive business functions as possible.

To facilitate the application of new theories learned and the integration of different subject areas into a holistic   conceptualisation of business, our students will have the opportunity to complete a variety of assignments based on challenging modules.  Individual assignments focus on the Division where the student is employed, while the other Assignments focus on the Division/ Department represented by the selected students.  Anticipating the diverse and unique backgrounds of our enrolled students, the result will be a multi disciplinary, real time, real world, business experience.

The Leadership and Management Foundation module focuses on important aspects of leadership today.  Leaders are required to become more people-centric and other focused.  Leadership is an act of serving in the modern paradigm, and it is our belief that in serving that great leaders are born. This module addresses issues such as
• How to motivate your team to be able to reach
  its full potential

• The traits that distinguish a successful leader
  from one which functions in mediocrity

• Key elements that improve leadership

• The particular roles and qualities of a  leader

• The difference between a leader and a manager

• When managers lead and leaders manage

• How to integrate leadership and management
  skills

• How to apply leadership techniques effectively

• The impact of applied leadership techniques

• Critical thinking

• Holistic thinking

• Integrated thinking

• Research of information
